Kyran O'Mahoney

Kyran O’Mahoney has used technology to overcome many obstacles as he was born with less than 17% vision. To him technology has changed his life and allowed him to be independent. During his education he faced challenges such as being told he wasn’t "smart enough," because of his reduced vision but went on to earn a Computer Science degree and has since built a distinguished career in technology.

As the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Nexus Inclusion, Kyran is a pioneering leader in Digital Inclusion, committed to using technology to create more inclusive digital spaces for people of all abilities. He believes that technology should not just accommodate, but actively include everyone.

Previously, Kyran held the position of Group Chief Technology Officer at NCBI and has held senior roles at companies such as Dunnes Stores, Ryanair, and AIB. His work has been recognised with Digital Trailblazer 2023 and Digital Advocate 2024 awards from the National Digital Awards, highlighting his significant contributions to the field of inclusive technology.
