Main Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for generating and qualifying new business pipeline through proactive outbound activity and inbound lead management.

Outbound Prospecting

  • Research and identify target accounts within our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Apollo
  • Execute multi-touch outbound sequences across email, LinkedIn, and phone to generate discovery meetings
  • Personalise outreach at scale and continuously test messaging, cadences, and channels to improve conversion rates

Inbound Lead Management

  • Respond to and qualify inbound leads promptly, ensuring no opportunity is missed
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect pain points and assess fit before handoff
  • Accurately score and prioritise leads using agreed qualification criteria

Pipeline & CRM

  • Keep HubSpot accurate and up to date with activity, contact records, and deal stages at all times
  • Maintain a clean pipeline and flag risks or opportunities proactively to the wider team
  • Track your own KPIs and report weekly on outreach volume, conversion rates, and meetings booked

Collaboration & Playbook Building

  • Partner with marketing to feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness
  • Work with leadership to refine ICP, messaging, and go-to-market positioning
  • Document what works – your learnings will form the foundation of the SDR playbook for future hires

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a sales, SDR, or customer-facing commercial role
  • Demonstrable ability to self-manage and prioritise with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable on the phone and over email
  • Experience conducting outbound activity across email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Resilient, positive mindset and a genuine hunger to develop commercially
  • Organised and detail-oriented with a habit of keeping CRM data clean and accurate
  • Able to build structure and create process in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Desirable

  • Prior experience in a B2B SaaS or technology business
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM
  • Experience with sales engagement tools such as Apollo, Outreach, or Salesloft
  • Awareness of qualification frameworks such as BANT or MEDDIC
  • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment
  • Track record of hitting or exceeding activity-based targets

Education & Experience

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent; a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is a plus
  • Relevant commercial experience in a structured sales environment, even if earlier in your career
  • Any sales training or methodology certification (e.g. SPIN, Challenger, Sandler) is advantageous
  • Demonstrable self-development in sales – courses, podcasts, books – tells us you take it seriously
