Irish tech start-up Nexus Inclusion has launched a new digital accessibility platform designed to help organisations improve compliance and better serve users with disabilities, supported by €3.5 million in private investment.
The company formally launched its business-to-business accessibility and inclusion software on Monday, 25 May, positioning itself to address growing regulatory and commercial pressures on companies operating online. The platform is designed to support compliance with frameworks such as the European Accessibility Act, which came into effect in June 2025.
“Most digital accessibility software can scan and identify issues. The difficult part is fixing the problem” Despite the tightening regulatory environment, adoption of accessibility standards remains limited.
Fewer than 4% of the world’s top 1m websites currently meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. This gap is particularly significant in light of the scale of the opportunity, with an estimated one in four people in Europe living with a disability and more than one billion individuals globally falling into this category.
Research also highlights the commercial implications for businesses. Approximately 71% of users with disabilities abandon websites that are difficult to navigate, contributing to an estimated $13 billion in lost revenue each year.
