Backed by €3.5 million private investment, Irish start-up Nexus Inclusion launches its B2B digital accessibility and inclusion software solution to help businesses access a market of over one billion people globally and comply with regulations such as the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

The EAA came into effect in June 2025, despite growing regulatory pressure, fewer than 4% of the top one million websites globally meet the internationally recognised WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standard.

In Europe, one in four (24%) people have a disability. Globally, this demographic represents over one billion people. Research shows that 71% of users with disabilities leave inaccessible websites, representing a significant commercial loss in revenue (estimated at $13 Billion annually).

The company was founded by Kyran O'Mahoney in 2025, a vision-impaired tech entrepreneur, whose career spans senior technology roles with well-known Irish brands such as Ryanair, Dunnes Stores, Vision Ireland (formerly NCBI) and AIB. The company secured an initial investment of €2 million in 2025 and raised over €1.5 million in additional private investment in recent months.

Nexus Inclusion’s AI-powered digital accessibility platform helps organisations identify and resolve accessibility barriers. The platform analyses websites, content, images, video and digital media, providing practical guidance and actionable fixes to improve compliance and usability for individuals with disabilities, neurodivergent people, and people with a range of comprehension levels.

“Most digital accessibility software can scan and identify issues. The difficult part is fixing the problem,” says Kyran O’Mahoney, chief executive officer and founder of Nexus Inclusion.

“The Nexus Inclusion scan itself is very solutions-focused. The tools go into great detail on how to address barriers to digital accessibility. Everything is contextualised; the platform explains why there is a problem, which disability it affects, and how to fix it. In some cases, it literally writes the code for a development team.

What we have created is a solution that democratises digital accessibility for businesses.” O’Mahoney explains.

The platform allows businesses to build a picture of compliance over time while continuously monitoring and offering solutions to accessibility barriers to ensure a good browsing or shopping experience for users of all abilities.

O'Mahoney is joined at Nexus Inclusion by Eric Neville, Chief Operating Officer; Niamh O’Riordan, Head of Marketing; and Dara Walsh, Head of Product. The company currently employs eight people and plans to add seven roles focused on sales, technology, and accessibility in 2026.

"In my view, Nexus Inclusion is the first product to come to market that actually resolves accessibility and WCAG governance issues. Having said that, its main distinguishing feature is that it is very intuitive and easy to use; you don't need a massive budget or a lot of technical expertise." O’Mahoney added.

The Nexus Inclusion platform is available on a monthly or annual subscription basis. Starting at €49 per month, the company offers transparent pricing and service plans for businesses ranging from micro to enterprise.
